QA Manager Pharma

We are looking for a forward-thinking Quality Assurance Manager that provides leadership within the Quality function. This key position is accountable for leading the development, sustainment, and improvement of the quality management system and play a leading role in ensuring that compliant GMP operations are continuously maintained across the site.

The person in this position is also responsible for the development of the Quality Assurance team and working in conjunction with all relevant departments to provide guidance and coaching to ensure compliance against QMS and customer Technical standards in support of business growth; whilst creating a culture where everyone owns quality.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• You will
  • Be educated to degree level and have substantial experience with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a quality role within the food or pharmaceutical industry, and ‘hands-on’ knowledge of all Quality Systems
  • Have a wide breadth and depth of knowledge and proven application of food and/or pharmaceutical GMP regulations, and other international guidelines within a manufacturing setting. This knowledge needs to be combined with clear decision making and pragmatism aligned with quality risk management principles
  • Have demonstrated ability to make sound decisions regarding evaluation of GMP compliance, and leadership abilities in the management of QA oversight
  • Not be afraid to make decisions
  • Have strong collaboration, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills to internal and external stakeholders in English
  • Be flexible in order to meet changing needs and priorities of the business
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment is essential.
• A strong working knowledge of the principles and guidelines for Pharmaceutical GMP as set out in the UK Orange Guide, Eudralex Volume 4, U.S. 21CFR 210/211 and other relevant international regulations; and the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety is highly desirable.
• Prior experience with electronic Quality Management Systems (Q-Pulse) is advantageous.
